WHAT TO DO
In Indiana, vote by mail is also called "absentee voting".
Indiana requires that you first request an absentee ballot application to get an absentee ballot. Because Indiana doesn't have a straight forward way to vote by mail, there's some reading to do below. We tried to make it clear and concise.
FIRST Complete an absentee ballot application by October 22, 2020. HOWEVER, with the mail running slower and the many people wanting to vote by mail, get your application sooner.
You can get an absentee ballot application in in one of three ways:
Online! Here's how:
-Visit www.indianavoters.com .
-Click “Vote by Mail or Travel Board” then “Visit My Voter Portal”.
-Choose if you want two step login authentication.
-Fill in your info and go to the next page.
-On a phone, click on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner. On a laptop or desktop, look to the far left.
-Click "Absentee Voting" then "Vote by Mail".
-Choose your reason for absentee ballot voting.
-Fill out the form and submit, or
Print an application from this link: https://www.in.gov/sos/elections/2402.htm , or

Do you have a complaint about your polling place's accessibility limitations or are you concerned about fraudulent activities on Election Day? A toll-free phone line now exists to make your voice heard. We need your help to identify areas needing assistance so the issues can be resolved prior to the General Election in November.
The Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA) requires at least one accessible voting machine be placed in each polling place in addition to making the facility physically accessible. The Secretary of State and Indiana Election Division have been working with county election administrators to make these changes and upgrade polling places as of the 2006 Primary Election. All polling locations in the State of Indiana should be compliant.
The toll-free number is: 866-IN1-VOTE (866-461-8683). HAVA staff will be on hand to answer the calls from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM EDT on Election Day and 8:00-4:30 on regular business days.
